Xylo-oligosaccharide (XOS) is a prebiotic fibre that promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut. Many different prebiotic fibres exist on the market, however XOS is different. All other prebiotics promote the growth of all bacteria in the gut: good and bad, but XOS selectively promotes the growth of only beneficial microflora, namely the Bifidobacterium strains. As the number of beneficial flora increases, they can inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria by competing with them for resources. These beneficial strains also lower the pH of the intestines to make it an inhospitable environment for harmful bacteria to live. Improved gut microflora has benefits for digestive, cardiovascular, and overall health, especially in improving occasional gastrointestinal disorders.
AOR’s XOS quickly and gently relieves occasional constipation and diarrhea. XOS can be used for the maintenance of metabolic health, and is safe for long term use and in the 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy.
XOS is a soluble prebiotic fiber that helps stimulate the growth of Bifidobacterium in the intestine. It has been shown to help improve bowel regularity, and helps provide gentle relief from constipation and diarrhea.
AOR guarantees that all ingredients have been declared on the label. Contains no wheat, gluten, nuts, peanuts, soy, dairy, eggs or any animal byproduct.
