Cautions and warnings: Consult a health-care practitioner prior to use if you have a liver disorder; if you have any type of acute infection; if you are undergoing hormone replacement therapy (HRT); if you are taking birth control medication; if you are taking any prescription medication; if you have an iron deficiency; if you have a gastrointestinal lesion/ulcer; if you are taking anti-inflammatory or antibiotic medication; if you are having surgery; if you are taking medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, or seizures; if you have allergy to latex or fruits (such as avocado, banana, chestnut, passion fruit, fig, melon, mango, kiwi, pineapple, peach, or tomato). Discontinue use and consult a health-care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen; or if symptoms of digestive upset (e.g. diarrhea) occur, worsen, or persist beyond 3 days. Consult a health-care practitioner prior to use in case of liver disorder or iron deficiency, or if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Discontinue use and consult a health-care practitioner if you develop symptoms of liver trouble such as yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), stomach pain, dark urine, sweating, nausea, unusual tiredness, and/or loss of appetite. Rare, unpredictable cases of liver injury associated with green tea extract–containing products have been reported. This product contains milk and soy, do not use if you have a milk or soy allergy.
Contraindications: Do not use if you are pregnant or breast-feeding; if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives, or other medications which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance; if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, or a kidney or cardiovascular disorder; if you are taking health products that affect blood coagulation (e.g. blood thinners, clotting factor replacements, acetylsalicylic acid, ibuprofen, fish oils, or vitamin E), as this may increase the risk of spontaneous bleeding; if you are experiencing nausea, fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhea, or severe abdominal pain; if you have an immune-compromised condition (e.g. AIDS, lymphoma, or patients undergoing long-term corticosteroid treatment); if you have a known allergy to grass or flower pollens, bees, or bee products; or if you have a history of systemic lupus.
Known adverse reactions: Hypersensitivity/allergy has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. Gastrointestinal disturbance such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea have been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use and consult a health-care practitioner.
